French Made Baking, a Parisian Bakery in Vancouver

We’re pretty excited tonight and can’t wait to share with you the big news:
we’ve signed the lease of the future French Made Baking store!

We’d like to thank everyone who visited our booth at the markets and encouraged us in following our dream of opening our own shop! We’ll be happy to see you again any day of the week soon! We’re aiming at opening by November but it’s too early to be more precise. It will be in the lovely neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant, at 81 Kingsway, just a bit north of Broadway and one block off Main Street, not far from the new community centre and public library. We’re pretty excited too of being the first French bakery on Vancouver eastside (that we know of anyway)! The eastside rocks, it’s about time it gets one!

Imagine trays of Parisian macarons, canelés, madeleines, brioches, fresh flaky buttery croissants, baguette sandwiches and much much more… We will still carry a few pastries suitable for gluten free diets like macarons, chocolate lava cakes, financiers almond cakes and we’ll be working on new products as well (and a couple of macarons for dairy free diets).

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to be the first to know when we open and check out our blog for updates on a regular basis. In the meantime (and even after we open), find us at Farmers’ and Bakers’ Markets and Make it! The Handmade Revolution.

81 Kingsway, Vancouver

Winning this contest would really help us in our project, please remember to cast your vote in the “We ♥ Local Food and Drink” contest! You could win the Voters’ Prize, a 2 night stay at the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Whistler hotel during Cornucopia Weekend!

Thanks! Good timing too, we can update the blurb for the featured vendor before it goes online 🙂
